Attorney Kristen Scheuerman of Herrling Clark Law Firm Ltd. was recently selected to serve as Co-Editor of The Verdict, the quarterly publication of the Wisconsin Association for Justice (WAJ), Wisconsin’s largest voluntary legal bar organization. In addition to preserving access to the civil justice system, one of WAJ’s principal objectives is promoting the legal education of its members for the betterment of the trial bar profession, and to ensure a fair and effective judicial system while protecting Wisconsin citizens’ Constitutional right to a civil jury trial.
The Verdict was first published in 1978. Since its inception, there have been 11 editors and Kristen will be the 12th. She will be only the third female editor and will serve alongside co-editor Kelly Centofanit, marking the first time in The Verdict’s history that the publication will be edited by a team of women lawyers. Kristen’s dedication and involvement with WAJ allows her to maintain a critical working knowledge of legislative changes and proposed legislation that affect her clients’ rights.
After earning her Juris Doctor degree from Marquette University Law School in 2010, Kristen joined Herrling Clark Law Firm in 2010 as an Associate Attorney, and she was named a Partner/Shareholder in 2016. Her practice areas are focused on personal injury litigation; however, she also handles municipal prosecution for a local municipality.
Kristen has been recognized on the Wisconsin Super Lawyers “Rising Star” list for several consecutive years and she was also named to the “Top 40 Under 40” list by the National Trial Lawyers organization in 2014. In addition, Kristen was recognized in the Wisconsin Law Journal’s as one of the “2016 Women in the Law” honorees. She is also actively involved in the Wisconsin Association for Justice (formerly the Wisconsin Association of Trial Lawyers).
