Lois initially worked with Attorney Chuck Hartzheim and spent over thirty years doing estate planning and probate work. For the past twelve years, she has supported the family law practices and has enjoyed everything she has learned in handling these cases. Lois is a lifelong resident of Kaukauna, having graduated as a Galloping Ghost from Kaukauna High School.
Experience
Lois Straus started at Herrling Clark in the summer of 1972. Lois enjoys the personal connections with clients that develop as she helps them through a very difficult and stressful time in their life. Lois firmly believes that understanding what family law clients are going through is a crucial part of her role. Offering clients a chance to be heard and then responding with empathy and compassion is very important to Lois.
Lois (who has a twin sibling) is married to her high school sweetheart (who is also a twin!), and together they are the proud parents of two phenomenal children. The Strauses have also been blessed with four beautiful grandchildren who are their pride and joy and the loves of their life. When not at work, Lois enjoys spending time with her family, who are avid Badger and Packers fans. The majority of Lois’ spare time is spent at her cottage in Townsend, Wisconsin, where she and her family enjoy the beauty and serenity of the “North Woods.”
